Watch: Africanews reports Harry Kane’s Ballon d’Or win

Africanews reports on Harry Kane winning the 2026 Ballon d’Or in this football news video. The broadcaster’s accompanying report is dated 27 October and identifies him as the first English winner of the individual award in twenty-five years.

The report places Kane ahead of Kylian Mbappé and Lamine Yamal. This is the publisher’s account of an awards result, rather than a new match or a live ceremony.

An individual football award creates a different discussion from a league table. It recognises a player within a stated awards process, while team results and performances across competitions remain separate questions. The original report provides the event context for this particular announcement.
