Shorts: Pohankova takes in her Tokyo win over Osaka

Mia Pohankova’s reaction after defeating Naomi Osaka is the focus of this WTA short from Tokyo. The tour published the clip on 29 October after her straight-set round-of-sixteen victory.

The brief production captures the moment around a significant result on Pohankova’s first WTA 500 main-draw appearance. It complements the full highlights rather than replacing the match report or its final score.

Watch the original WTA short above. Montage Africa’s tennis section also carries a longer account of the breakthrough and the distinction between a major individual result and the longer work of building a professional career.
