Watch: Dan Hillier puts his stock club distances to the test
Dan Hillier works through the distances he expects from the clubs in his bag in this official DP World Tour feature. The video, published on 29 October, combines his stated stock yardages with shots measured using Trackman.
The publisher divides the session into stock distances and a later maximum-yardage section. That distinction is useful: the distance a player expects to repeat is a different question from the longest effort he can produce.
A practice feature offers a different view of professional golf from a tournament leaderboard. It shows the information a player uses to choose a club and the process of comparing an intended shot with its measured result.
The figures in the original production describe Hillier’s own session, not a target every golfer should copy. Equipment, conditions and the individual player affect distance. Watch the DP World Tour’s feature above for the demonstration rather than treating a professional’s numbers as a universal club-selection chart.
