Kenya’s Cabinet has approved the establishment of new embassies in Vatican City, Copenhagen, and Hanoi, marking a strategic expansion of the country’s global diplomacy. The Vatican City mission aims to deepen moral and diplomatic ties, strengthen engagement with Catholic development agencies, and enhance collaboration on education, healthcare, climate action, and humanitarian initiatives.
The mission in Denmark will focus on forging partnerships in sustainable development and green technology.
Finally, the new embassy in Vietnam will seek to unlock trade opportunities and attract investment from the rapidly growing Asian market. Together, these missions represent a calculated effort to diversify Kenya’s global partnerships, boost economic diplomacy, and strengthen its position as a key player on the world stage.
