The Police Command in Akwa Ibom says it has arrested 5 suspected cultists and recovered firearms within the Ibesikpo Asutan space of the state.
DSP Timfon John, the Police Public Relations Officer, disclosed this in an announcement on Thursday in Uyo.
John mentioned the arrests occurred on the cultists’ hideout in Ikot Etuk village, Ibesikpo Asutan Native Authorities Space, on Wednesday.
She mentioned that operatives of the command, appearing on credible info, arrested the cultists.
John acknowledged that through the operation, officers recovered one domestically made pistol, one fabricated single-barrel gun, and various charms.
