The Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic (ATAPOLY), Bauchi, has commended the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) for its commitment to expanding access to quality tertiary education in Nigeria.
The Polytechnic also confirmed the receipt of a cumulative N89,602,556 in student loan disbursements for the 2025/2026 academic session, benefiting hundreds of its students.
In a letter dated August 5, 2026, and addressed to the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of NELFUND, Mr. Akintunde Sawyerr, the Registrar of the Polytechnic, Lawal Sambo, expressed appreciation on behalf of the Governing Council, Management, staff and students for the Fund’s educational support programme.
According to the letter, the institution received the fourth batch of NELFUND student loan disbursement on June 8, 2026, covering 242 beneficiaries with a total loan value of N12,394,601.
The latest disbursement brought the amount received under the fourth batch together with the first, second and third batches to a cumulative N89,602,556 for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The Polytechnic said it valued its partnership with NELFUND and looked forward to continued collaboration aimed at advancing access to quality education in Nigeria.
The institution further commended the Federal Government and NELFUND for what it described as a laudable educational support programme, expressing appreciation for the assistance being provided to students.
The Registrar stated that the Polytechnic’s management, staff and students were grateful for NELFUND’s commitment towards promoting access to quality education.
The acknowledgement from ATAPOLY adds to growing institutional evidence of NELFUND’s student-financing intervention, particularly in supporting students to meet the financial demands associated with tertiary education.
