Nigerian producer Mo Abudu is creating a destination for African film and black cultural expression in central London. Africanews’ report introduces EbonyLife Place London and the thinking behind a venue that brings cinema together with food, fashion and art.
The source describes plans for screenings, masterclasses, industry discussions and performances by emerging and established talent. Abudu frames the project around making space for African stories to reach audiences directly, rather than waiting for other institutions to provide that space.
Watch the report for a look inside the venue and Abudu’s own explanation of its purpose. This video was published in mid-October and is presented with that source date, rather than as a new opening announcement today. Details of programming and access should be checked with the venue.
