WEDNESDAY APRIL 13, 2016. FOR AMAC ELECTION RE-RUN…..INEC

The affected Abuja Municipal Area Council election which was earlier cancelled due to violence and over voting have been schedule to hold tomorrow. 13th of April, 2016.

According to the press statement released by the FCT Residents Electoral Commissioner prof. Jacob Jatau.  The 39,647 registered voters is expected to participate in the conclusion of Abuja Municipal Ares Council election re-run in 39 affected polling units in federal capital Territory scheduled tomorrow 13th of April, 2016.

” INEC-FCT will on Wednesday April 13th 2016 conduct re-run election in 39 polling units in the federal capital territory. The affected units were cancelled due to over voting, violence and non-use of smart card reader or non accreditation of voters.” He said.

Nick Dazan, INEC-FCT deputy director of publicity and voters education also charged the all political parties to ensure a peaceful conduct of the election he however maintained that there will be no restriction of movement sighting the adequate security will be provided for the conduct.
