The IYC president pleaded with the aggrieved youths to respect the decisions taken by Ijaw leaders on the IYC matter in the interest of peace and unity.

“We in the IYC had issues before and during the election, the Governor of Bayelsa, Seriake Dickson, in his wisdom, set up the eminent persons committee.

“The committee asked for oral and documentary evidence from all the parties, including me, we presented ourselves, they did their work, did their findings and came out with their report.

“The committee presented its report before the Governor and our father, Pa E.K Clark, who incidentally is the Chairman, Board of Trustees of Ijaw National Congress, INC.

“In their wisdom, they said my own executive is the genuine an authentic executive and that is the direction of the Ijaw people.

“I am aware that some people are aggrieved, that is expected after election. As the president, I am talking to them; I will continue to talk to them.

“It is my responsibility to talk to all of them, for us to be together to talk with one voice and confront the challenges ahead of us,” he said. (NAN)
