Buhari offers solution to terrorism in Africa

President Muhammadu Buhari has offered a
panacea to terrorists menace on the African
continent which he said will also help the countries’
development.
He said for Africa to overcome factors inhibiting its
development, African leaders must come up with a
strong and formidable front to confront terrorism
and violent extremism.
The President stated this at the State House, Abuja,
when he received the Deputy President of Kenya,
William Ruto.
According to a statement issued by the Senior
Special Assistant to the President on Media and
Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, said President
Buhari expressed concern that the continent was
still grappling with acts and effects of terrorism
after a successful de-colonisation campaign.
“A situation in which insecurity continues to
obstruct the process of national development
should not be allowed to continue”, the president
said.
