Abuja – Residents of the Ikeja Government Reserved LGA of Lagos State were left shocked when they found an abandoned baby boy crawling on the road.
According to Punch, the boy, whose identity has yet to ascertained, was swiftly picked up and transferred to the Lagos State Polcie Command headquarters in Ikeja where he was taken in for a check-up.
The child is believed to have crawled out of his parents’ apartment, although he is yet to be claimed from officials.
“The police team rescued the baby. So far, nobody has come up to claim the baby. He must have left the custody of his parents or guardian and that is how some children fall into the hands of kidnappers and ritual killers. He is still with us at the command headquarters,” a police source revealed.
