Durban, South Africa – 4 November 2025 – StreetNet International is pleased to announce the upcoming webinar “Data is Power”, organised to commemorate the International Day of Street Vendors on 13 November 2025 at 4:00 PM (South Africa Time).

The event will highlight the results of a participatory research project (the Street Vendors Barometer) carried out in collaboration with the Global Labour Institute, and StreetNet affiliates — the Zimbabwe Chamber of Informal Economy Associations (ZCIEA) and the Unión de Trabajadores y Trabajadoras de la Economía Popular (UTEP) in Argentina.

Developed by and for grassroots workers, the findings aim to inform evidence-based policymaking rooted in workers’ lived experiences.

Interpretation will be available in English, French, Spanish, and Russian. StreetNet International is a global organization of informal economy workers, with the goal to promote and leverage an autonomous and democratic alliance ofstreet and market vendors and hawkersin over
